This thing would not open a can if were made of paper! Do not waste your time. Tossed mine in the trash where it belongs. only gave it one star cause it would not let me send this review without it

This opener has a small footprint, which works well for my mom’s tiny counter space. It’s easy to use. Be aware that the cord isn’t very long, so you’ll have to set it pretty close to the power outlet.

This is a horrible product. It opened two cans and then stopped working for no reason. Do not waste your money!

It’s a nice can opener, its small but it does the job and looks nice

Came in two parts. Have tried to put together. Should have come with someone with the engineering to put it together. Don’t buy thing unless you’re mechanically up to spending your day groaning over this thing. Don’t have the energy anymore either to take all the new steps for returning such junk.

Update.. poptop soup can broke, so I tried this can opener. It could not open it. So I used a manual one. I’ve never seen a can opener that cannot open a can (granted the lip on a pop top soup can is slightly larger). So I’m knocking it to 2 stars. Still a terrible design (cute though) that works on most items.Cons:The bottle opener is too short to insert a bottle.Ok, the cord is now too short to move it to the edge of the counter to insert the bottle that you couldn’t open due to con #1.The cord comes out mangled because they cram it into a cord storage space too small to use. So you now have to unmangle it.The cord space is too small to use. Maybe they could have just put vacuum cord type hooks on the back? The cord is too short. You can only use this really near an outlet. The entire device is too short. So opening really tall cans (or any bottle really) won’t work.Pros:It looks pretty nice, I like the brushed metal. It has some heft to it. Enough heft to not fall over when opening normal sized cans. It doesn’t feel cheap, its just small. Too small. The can opener works well (on the 85% of cans it can open) It does mangle the lid a bit, but the edges come out smooth and the magnet grabs the lid (on most cans) and that’s what matters. Again, this applies only to normal cans (soup cans, food cans, not really large ones, or those with a bigger lip. Which is terrible for a device that only has one job. What were they thinking? Make the cord longer, make a loop to wrap it, make it 3 inches taller, add a bit more heft, increase the can lip clearance, and you’d have a great can opener. Making a bottle opener that is shorter than almost any bottle you want to open makes no sense. You can’t save money until you make the device functional for its purpose. And why do some web sites give this a good review? (maybe they never tried to open a beer bottle or pop top soup can)So two stars. If you need to open a normal soup can or a tuna can, and you don’t mind having it near an outlet, this will work. So for most cans, it works. But they could have made this really great with just a few changes.

Don’t waste your money on this. The motor is not strong enough to work. Once it punctures the top it cuts about a quarter inch and stops. You can hear the motor try to keep turning but nothing happens. I thought maybe it was just a tough can I tried to open. But i have only successfully open 1 can with this opener. It has failed on more then 5 others.

Pieces of the opener mechanism come off when you lift it or move it. Have to reassemble every time. Cheap. Wish I would have purchased a better one.

This thing never worked since I bought it. Take it off the market.

This machine is very easy to use, opens all the cans that I’ve tried, is very study and certainly very easy to clean. I highly recommend this can opener!

We couldn’t get this opener to work consistently – occasionally we were able to open a can with it. Unfortunately, we missed the return deadline trying to get it to work properly and now we’re stuck with it.

I had a B and D opener working for about 20 years. Eventually it grew old and blunt – like all of us – and finally didn’t work very well. I tried to find a replacement with the same design – which I thought was just perrfect. This one was identical, except for some material changes. It is a perfect replacement.J. B.

First thing about this can opener that wasn’t too impressive – the cord! Altho some may think its convenient, I found the cord very difficult to remove from the little storage area on the back.Once I got the cord out and plugged in – the very first can I tried to open – didn’t work!! It started to pierce the top, but then stopped and was stuck! Tried a 2nd can, same thing! Finally on the 3rd can that I needed opening, it worked!Would not recommend this at all..
