Unpack the base, the 1000mL and 500mL vessels, the lids, blade holder, carry cap and hydration bottle. Wash everything except the base before first use; those parts are top-rack dishwasher safe.
Set the base on a level, dry counter near an outlet. A level surface helps keep the blender from moving while it runs.
Add ingredients to a vessel without going over its capacity, following the loading order in the manual.
Attach the blade holder to the open end of the vessel and make sure it is fully seated.
Turn the vessel over and seat it on the base. The blender will not start unless the blade cap is fully in place.
Press the button for pulse, or run the one-minute program. Swap the blade holder for a drinking lid or carry cap to take it with you.
