Two S-shaped blades are stacked on one shaft, giving four cutting edges at two heights. The titanium coating is there to harden the edges and keep them sharp for longer, and the stack separates so you can run just the lower pair.
The bowl is 304 food-grade stainless steel, with a rubber base underneath that keeps it from sliding while the motor runs.
There is no switch or speed setting. Pressing the top of the motor runs the blades and releasing it stops them straight away, and the unit resets automatically.

Take the bowl, blades and lid apart and wash them in warm soapy water or the dishwasher. Handle the blades by the hub, since they are sharp from new.
Stand the stainless bowl on a dry, flat counter so the rubber base grips. Keep the motor unit away from water.
Slide the blade stack onto the centre pin and push it all the way down. A blade that is not fully seated is the most common way the plastic hub gets damaged. Use both blade pairs for a fine chop, or the lower pair alone for smaller loads.
Cut large vegetables into quarters and add them without filling the bowl to the top. Leaving space lets food circulate back into the blades.
Place the lid on the bowl and set the motor unit on top so it engages. The chopper will only run when everything is in place.
Press down on the top of the motor in short bursts, checking the texture between presses. Most food is fully chopped in 8 to 12 seconds. Never run it for more than 15 seconds at a time, and rest it for a minute between runs.

Short presses give a coarse chop for salsa, and more presses take it to a mince. Stop and check often, since onions and tomatoes turn watery if run too long.
