Drop the S-blade onto the post in the centre of the bowl, handling it by the plastic hub.
Cut food into small, even pieces and add a modest amount; small loads chop more evenly.
Set the motor unit on top. It runs as soon as you press it down, so pulse in short presses and use the turbo button for the faster speed.
Lift off the motor and blade, then use the detachable base as a lid if you want to refrigerate what you made.
