Five Color Temperatures, Five Brightness Levels
Glocusent lists five color temperatures, 1800K, 2500K, 3400K, 4500K and 6000K, and five brightness levels from 3 to 60 lumens. The range matters at both ends. At the warm end, 1800K amber carries little of the blue light that suppresses melatonin, and Glocusent says it filters 99.9% of it, which makes it the setting for reading in bed before sleep or beside a partner. At the cool end, 6000K is close to daylight, which sharpens contrast for small print and shows colors truly. The middle steps let you settle on a tone rather than jump between extremes. Brightness follows the same logic: 3 lumens is a glow that lights a page without lighting the room, while 60 lumens is plenty for one page at close range. Adjustability is one of the most praised things about it, and one owner who reads on an e-ink device says it takes seconds to set up.
