Detach the tank and auger and wash them before first use, in the sink or the dishwasher.
Set the machine on a level counter with room around it for airflow; it is under 7 inches wide but nearly 17 inches tall.
Pour in your drink up to the 48-ounce max line. Make sure it contains sugar, or it will not freeze into slush.
Pick the preset that matches the drink, or Custom to set temperature and time, and start. The display shows the freezing time.
Hold a cup under the spout and pull the lever. Serve soon after it is ready, as slush does not hold its texture long in the machine.
