How does the drying work?
Every wash cycle except Fruit finishes with 60 minutes of hot air drying, and a separate Dry mode adds another 60 minutes. After that, NOVETE says the machine runs automatic ventilation every 75 minutes for 72 hours to keep moisture and odours out, showing a small 'b' on the screen while it does, so you can store clean dishes inside until you need them.
Are there any known issues with the rack design?
Yes. The main complaint is the bottom rack, whose wide gaps let small utensils and even drinking glasses fall through and jam the lower spray arm. Keep small items in the cutlery basket and upper rack, and use the bottom for plates and bowls. Items can also shift during a wash and block a spray arm, so load carefully.
Can I use it without a permanent water hookup?
Yes. It supports two water supply modes: tank mode, where you fill the built-in 5 L tank with the included pitcher, and faucet mode, using the included 61-inch inlet hose. The drain hose runs into your sink. No permanent installation is needed, which makes it well suited to rentals, dorms and kitchens without dishwasher plumbing.
Is it loud when running?
No. NOVETE lists a 50 dB noise level, and it is genuinely quiet. One owner noticed a high-pitched whistle from the drying fan, but otherwise it runs quietly.
Is the baby care cycle actually hot enough to sanitize properly?
NOVETE's Baby Care/Heavy cycle washes at 167°F and is recommended for baby products and oily tableware. That is much hotter than you could stand when washing by hand, and it is followed by 60 minutes of hot air drying. Check that bottles and plastic parts are marked dishwasher safe before using the hottest cycle.
How reliable is it long-term?
Reports are mixed, so results vary by unit. Some units give years of trouble-free use, including one run daily since 2022, while others develop smaller faults such as a problem with the top spray arm. It comes with a 1-year warranty, and for anyone who likes to repair things, the manual includes a wiring diagram.
