I work as a massage therapist in a space with absolutely no room for a microwave, and my workplace is very smell-sensitive. I got this to bring warm meals for my breaks — I had gotten into the habit of buying fast food which was very expensive (not to mention unhealthy). Today I was able to eat homemade curry and now I am in love! I plugged it in a few hours before my break, and when I opened it, the food was steaming hot — and the rice was not dry at all like leftover rice tends to be. I was also happy to discover there was virtually NO smell coming from it — no one would be able to tell I had my lunch cooking in a hidden corner. I was only able to smell it if I put my nose literally right next to it.Also important to note is that the earlier design that others have reported as a fire hazard seems to be resolved. My model came with a brace surrounding where the cord comes out of the appliance, protecting it from damage from bending.I am so happy with this product and wish I would’ve known about it years ago!

Sorry for the overdue review but I initially purchased this lunch crockpot back on 12/11/13 for my husband to take to work. I have been packing his lunches since we got married and he says it’s the best thing, home cooked lunch and pipin’ hot the way he likes it, unlike “microwave hot” where it burns certain areas of the food and cold on some. Guess what, he says it still works as well as when he first got it! That said, I told my sister about it so she bought one a few months after I did. Now, 4 yrs later, I am purchasing 2 more on behalf of my other sister & her S.O. Although I work from home, I still don’t like to use the microwave so I will buy another one for my morning oatmeal and my daughter can use it to melt her chocolate (for strawberries ☺). Thinking of buying more for gifting!

I travel for a living and a healthy diet is important. This thing changes the game! I read the reviews about the cord issue, but it seems to be resolved. If you want “warm” food, it takes about 30 mins. If you want “hot” food it takes a little bit longer. I would recommend heating up your food an hour before you are ready to eat. By then the contents are perfectly hot! Great for on the go! It fits perfectly into my suitcase and doesn’t take up much room at all! Easy to clean as well. I recommend this to anyone who is look for a cheaper alternative to a hotlogic! Two thumps up!!

Love this food warmer. I use it for lunch and dinner at work every day. I meal prep by freezing big batches of food in small freezerbags and place them inside of coffee mugs so the food is in a shape that will fit in the crockpot). I let the food cook from frozen for about 2 hours and it comes out perfectly.

After growing tired of having semi-hot or having to wait for forever on the microwave at work, I decided to purchase this. It is wonderful. I plug it in about an hour before I have to eat lunch and my food is perfectly warmed. As a teacher, I get tired of turkey sandwiches or trying to wolf down what’s supposed to be a hot lunch but isn’t for whatever reason. One of the best things is I don’t have to worry about microwave explosions or having to clean up after someone else. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a hot lunch every once and while, and is crunched for time.

This thing is amazing. I was concerned about some of the comments that talked about leaking, but I bought it anyway. At first, it did leak, but here’s why. When you get the crockpot there is a little gray piece that covers the inner pot before the lid goes on. I did not use that piece, because I thought it was just for storage. I didn’t see anything about it in the pamphlet that came with it. Also, I figured if the pot was hot, it would be impossible to remove. Without that piece on the pot (and with it plugged in) there is a large buildup of condensation that occurs, and the pot does leak when it is moved (every time). I finally got fed up and started trying the piece that goes over the inner pot. I just put it on loosely. It completely stopped the problem (go figure). It wasn’t hard to remove, and now I have zero complaints. My food is always warm by lunch, my coworkers are always commenting on it, and I’m happy because I’m not eating fast food, or the junk that’s readily available at my job. I highly recommend this product.

If I could, I would Marie Kondo this specific product off Amazon. It 100% does not bring me joy. This was a Christmas gift for my husband. He has a very busy job at a school and is unable to make it to a microwave to have his lunch, and so being able to plug this baby in at his desk and have his lunch warm up slowly was perfect. This product worked impeccably for three days. On the fourth day, it warmed up some soup in the morning just fine, but when my husband went to eat his warm lunch that he’d been so looking forward to…it was cold. The whole unit was cold. It had apparently spontaneously stopped working. We tried plugging it in at home, too, and it no longer heats up.I am hugely disappointed. I usually do my research on products and this had such great reviews! Some people use it every day at work! I wanted my husband to be one of those people! For it to crap out after four days really blows. We tried to contact Crock Pot’s customer service to see if there is anything we can do on our end to fix it (though I’m not sure now, there are no controls on it) or to see if they could offer us another one, but the line automatically disconnected before we could talk to someone. Way to go customer service. So now we are left with a useless product and my husband has to eat cold lunches. He’ll live, but it really is a bummer to spend money on a gift for it just to stop doing what it was promised to do. Don’t buy this. You’ll be disappointed.

I liked it very much it keeps my food warm till it’s time for my lunch and dinner breaks. My coworkers are also amazed by what it can do so I told them to buy it from Amazon and it will be delivered the very next day if they are prime members

The size is just the right portion for a single meal. I can just leave the heater itself at work while just bringing the container home to wash and put a new batch of food in for the next day. Just need to start the machine 30mins before my lunch time and I will have a nice hot meal waiting to consume.

I love it! A removal container is perfect size (30oz), heats up your food very evenly, takes about 1h to heat it up to a perfect temperature. An electrical cord raps around the pot and secures really neatly at the bottom of the pot. I can take my hot meal and eat it where ever I want, if I don’t feel like taking my mask off and eating in the lunch room.

I bought my mini Crock Pot to have warm lunches at work. Because of Covid-19, we can’t have common-usage appliances (like a microwave), so this is my substitute. I can put chilled food into it (soup, stew, pasta….), then 3 hours later it’s piping hot! It’s compact, easy to keep clean and easy to transport. Can it cook rice? In a word, NO. As an experiment, I tried cooking white rice, but after 4 hours it was only partially cooked.

I waited 2 months before writing this review. It is worth every penny! It warms food to a perfect temperature within 15-30 min, depending on the food. Unlike with a microwave, food is gently warmed and evenly warmed, and food (including chicken!) does not dry out. I strongly recommend this!
