Can I change the color temperature, or is it always the same light?
It's a fixed colour temperature: QANYI specifies a single 4,000 Kelvin light, with no colour modes to switch between. What you can change is the brightness, and whether one side or both sides of the toast light up.
How reliable is the automatic shut-off feature?
QANYI builds in a 15-minute countdown that switches the light off, alongside an always-on mode for when you want it to stay lit. The timer does not behave identically on every unit, so test it during the first few nights before you rely on it.
Does the battery really last as long as stated?
QANYI rates the 1,200mAh cell at over 9.6 hours of continuous light on high brightness and 50 hours on low, so the longer figure depends on running it dim. Real-world results vary by unit and use: at its best it runs long enough to surprise you, but that is not universal, so keep it on a lower setting overnight.
Can I use this safely near water, like in a bathroom?
QANYI lists the lamp as waterproof, which helps with the occasional splash or spilled drink. It is still a rechargeable electrical device, so keep it out of sinks and baths and charge it somewhere dry.
What are the silicone feet actually for?
QANYI describes them as soft and skin-friendly, working both as a stress-relief squeeze toy and as a phone holder, so the light doubles as a small desk accessory as well as a lamp.
Is it too bright for a bedroom at night?
No. It tops out at 100 lumens and dims down from there, and at night it is roughly as bright as a string of fairy lights: enough to navigate a dark room without being harsh enough to disrupt sleep.
