Lay out the columns, rails, straight tracks, start pieces and marbles by type and check them against the instructions.
Start with the layout shown in the instructions to learn how columns and rails fit together.
Children under about ten will need an adult to assemble the run; let them hand over pieces and test sections as you go.
Fill the start with up to 8 marbles and release them together.
Once the first layout works, rearrange columns and rails into new structures and adjust slopes until the marbles run cleanly.

It's designed for ages 5 to 12, though it's also sold as 4 and up. Younger children will need an adult to build it; around 10 is a realistic age for building alone.
