Super, no nonsense / no frills blender with straightforward 3 speed settings and one reverse spin which purees to a smooth texture with no bits, and within less than 30 seconds. Used this on cooked vegetables and meat. After previously owning a Breville, found the Russell Hobbs to be the faster and better machine, and for cheaper.Super easy to use and clean and you can easily unscrew the blade from the container using hands without additional equipment ( unlike the Breville which needed a wrench to do so). The container is also glass not resin or plastic.Only issue was the plastic lid does feel a bit cheap, but it does do its job and seals watertight when pulverizing liquids.Overall super pleased with this blender in terms of performance and design!

This is a hefty kitchen appliance that works well and looks good, too.

After reading the reviews which seemed to lean positive…I ordered. Shipping was quick! When I opened I was disappointed since it was retro in style I assumed the red color would be retro as well as in most of the retro looking appliances that I have purchased. It is burgundy. Ok no problem I can store in pantry. This machine is pathetic. The blades don’t seem to do the job. The power seems to be there…but it really struggles to make a smoothie. A smoothie should be made in a jiff but this takes constant moving ingredients around. I only wish that I didn’t pitch the box otherwise this machine would be headed back. I will wait until local kitchen store reopens and ask for assistance for best blender to make smoothie.
