Most of the unit arrives assembled. Screw the handle onto the griddle's glass lid carefully, snug but not forced.
Wash the carafe, filter basket, water tank, bake pan and griddle pan before first use.
Lay heavy-duty foil in the bottom of the oven to catch drips, since the rack does not come out.
Fill the tank and add grounds before setting the oven timer, so you are not caught out if the coffee starts brewing when the timer does.
Select oven, toast, griddle or broil and set the timer for up to 30 minutes.

The Courant Breakfast Hub does what its name promises. Coffee, toast and fried eggs come from one compact unit on one plug, and the oven toasts evenly and heats quickly. The compromises all come from the price and the compact design: no temperature control, a 30-minute timer limit, thin plastic handles, and a hot griddle that sits unlocked on rubber pads. For small spaces it is still a very handy thing to own.
Buy it for the convenience and the saved space, not for precision cooking. If you have a full kitchen, a separate toaster oven and coffee maker will serve you better.
