Self-Cleaning Brushroll
PowerFins dig into carpet and sweep hard floors, and the brushroll is designed to shed hair into the bin instead of wrapping it.
The Shark RV2310 Matrix Robot Vacuum offers reliable pet-hair robot without self-emptying, best for pet owners with shedding dogs or cats. Rated 4.0 out of 5 across 462 user ratings. The main drawback: battery may cover only part of a larger home per charge. We scored it 3.8 out of 5.
Accurate LiDAR mapping and a self-cleaning brushroll make the RV2310 a strong pet-hair robot, but with no self-emptying base, a 0.5-quart bin and a battery that may cover only part of a larger home per charge, it asks more of you between runs than pricier docks do.
NoFussDeal rates the Shark RV2310 Matrix Robot Vacuum 3.8 out of 5 at $179.99. Last updated September 26, 2026.
PowerFins dig into carpet and sweep hard floors, and the brushroll is designed to shed hair into the bin instead of wrapping it.
In Matrix Clean the robot covers a room in a crisscross grid, making multiple passes over the same floor for deeper cleaning.
A 360° LiDAR scanner maps the home and helps the robot avoid objects day or night, and the SharkClean app uses that map for room cleaning and schedules.
A 14.4-volt lithium-ion battery rated for 90 minutes, a 0.5-quart bin and a washable pre-motor filter, with recharge and resume for bigger homes.

Set the charging dock against a wall on a hard, level floor with open space in front, and plug it in.
Put the robot on the dock and let it charge fully before the first run.
Install the SharkClean app and connect the robot to Wi-Fi, keeping your phone very close to the robot during pairing.
Pick up cords, socks and pet toys, and close doors to rooms you do not want mapped yet.
Start the first run so the LiDAR can map your home. Label rooms in the app when it finishes.
Create a cleaning schedule and draw any no-go zones, then check the first few runs to make sure it respects them.
Only for some buyers: we score it 3.8 out of 5. The Shark RV2310 Matrix maps quickly and accurately, handles pet hair well thanks to its self-cleaning brushroll, and lets you aim a thorough grid clean at the rooms that need it.
Rated 4.0 out of 5 across 462 user ratings, with 61% giving it five stars and 15% one star.
Battery may cover only part of a larger home per charge. No self-emptying dock and a small 0.5-quart bin.
Tap and brush the pre-motor filter clean, and rinse it only in cold water. Let a washed filter dry completely before refitting.
If you move furniture or open up new rooms, run a fresh mapping pass so room boundaries stay accurate.

Just A Dad Tips
The Shark RV2310 Matrix maps quickly and accurately, handles pet hair well thanks to its self-cleaning brushroll, and lets you aim a thorough grid clean at the rooms that need it. The trade-offs are a battery that may need a mid-clean recharge in larger homes, a small bin you empty by hand, and edges that still need occasional help.
Buy the RV2310 if you want dependable LiDAR navigation and strong pet-hair pickup without paying for a self-emptying base. If your home is large or you want to go weeks without touching the bin, a model with a bigger battery and an auto-empty dock will suit you better.
