Three Removable Plate Sets
The unit ships with sandwich, waffle and panini grill plates. Each set detaches from the base, so one appliance covers toasted sandwiches, waffles and grilled meat or vegetables.
The Yabano 3-in-1 Sandwich Maker offers versatile plates with basic heat, best for small-kitchen cooks. Rated 4.3 out of 5 across 297 user ratings. The main drawback: no on/off switch. We scored it 4.3 out of 5.
Three removable plates make the Yabano far more useful than a single-purpose sandwich press, and they are the reason cleanup is easy. The catch is heat: there is no dial and no on/off switch, and browning can come out uneven from one side to the other.
NoFussDeal rates the Yabano 3-in-1 Sandwich Maker 4.3 out of 5 at $42.40. Last updated September 26, 2026.

An 800-watt element heats both plates at 120 volts. Indicator lights show power and readiness, and there is no temperature control or on/off switch.
The non-stick plates wipe clean with a damp cloth once cool, and because they detach, they can also go in the dishwasher.
The body measures 10.35" D x 12.2" W x 5.35" H, stores upright, and has a cool-touch handle that locks the lid shut.

Before first use, remove the three plate sets, wash them in warm soapy water or the dishwasher, and dry them fully.
With the unit unplugged and cool, fit the sandwich, waffle or panini plates into the base and lid until they sit flat and secure.
Close the lid and plug the unit in. There is no power switch, so it starts heating straight away. Wait for the indicator light to show it is ready.
Add the sandwich or batter, close and lock the handle. Yabano suggests about 3 to 4 minutes for waffles; check sandwiches early and adjust to taste.
Remove food with a wooden or silicone utensil, then unplug the unit. It stays on as long as it is plugged in.
Once cool, remove the plates to wash, refit them, lock the lid and store the unit upright.
For most buyers, yes: we score it 4.3 out of 5. The Yabano earns its place through its three removable plate sets and easy cleanup.
Rated 4.3 out of 5 across 297 user ratings, with 66% giving it five stars and 6% one star.
No on/off switch, so it must be unplugged after use. Heating can be uneven or not hot enough.
Let the plates cool before removing and washing them. Wash plates by hand or in the dishwasher, then dry before refitting.
Because heat is fixed and can run uneven, turn sandwiches or rotate them halfway through if one side is coming out darker.
The Yabano earns its place through its three removable plate sets and easy cleanup. It makes grilled cheese, paninis and waffles from one small base, and the plates go straight in the sink or dishwasher. What it gives up is control: no dial, no power switch, and heat that some owners find uneven or too low. Opinions on long-term durability are also mixed. For simple sandwiches and occasional waffles those limits are easy to live with. For deep, even browning they are not.
Buy the Yabano for plate variety and easy washing, not for precision. Unplug it after use, rotate food if one side browns faster, and it covers everyday sandwiches and waffles without taking much cupboard space.
