The Tsrarey Sunset Projection Lamp Rainbow is a simple sunset mood lamp, best for content creators. Rated 4.4 out of 5 across 229 user ratings. The main drawback: needs a dim room to look its best. We scored it 4.4 out of 5.
It changes the mood of a room with almost no effort, which is the whole point, but it is a one-trick light. The Tsrarey Sunset Projection Lamp throws a large rainbow glow onto a wall or ceiling from a small USB-powered lamp, with an on/off button and an adjustable head, and not much else.
NoFussDeal rates the Tsrarey Sunset Projection Lamp Rainbow 4.4 out of 5 at $11.99. Last updated October 1, 2026.
The lamp head sits on an aluminium alloy universal joint, so you can tilt and turn it to aim the light at a wall, the ceiling or the floor.
A crystal lens in front of the LED spreads the light into a rainbow-graded circle with sunset tones. The Rainbow version is the one reviewed here.
An on/off button on the USB cable is the only control. There is no app, remote or mode to set.
The lamp runs on 5V USB at 5 watts, and the box includes a USB power supply along with the cable and switch.

Take the lamp, base and cable out of the box and fit the parts together. It only takes a moment.
Plug the cable into the lamp and the included USB power supply, then into the wall. Press the button on the cable to switch on. Do this as soon as it arrives to confirm it works.
Tilt the lamp head on its joint toward a wall, the ceiling or the floor. Straight on gives a round disc, while an angle stretches it into a sunset-like oval.
Move the lamp farther from the wall for a bigger, softer projection, or closer for a smaller, more intense one. Dim the room lights to see the full colour.
For most buyers, yes: we score it 4.4 out of 5. The Tsrarey Sunset Projection Lamp does one thing and does it well: it throws a bright, colourful sunset and rainbow glow onto a wall with no setup beyond aiming the head.
Rated 4.4 out of 5 across 229 user ratings, with 71% giving it five stars and 7% one star.
Some units arrive not working. No dimming, colour modes or timer.
Wipe the lens with a soft, dry cloth to keep the projection crisp.
The lamp has no built-in timer, so plug its power supply into a simple timer or smart plug to have it come on at dusk and switch off when you sleep.

The Tsrarey Sunset Projection Lamp does one thing and does it well: it throws a bright, colourful sunset and rainbow glow onto a wall with no setup beyond aiming the head. It is small, easy to use, powered over USB with the adapter included, and the colours look just like the photos, which makes it a handy photo backdrop and a relaxing evening light. The weak points are reliability, with some units arriving dead, and the lack of any dimming, modes or timer. Check it works as soon as it arrives.
A cheap-and-cheerful mood light that looks great in a dim room. Keep your expectations to a single, simple effect and test it on arrival.
