I have had this machine on low for 24 hrs at night and it works very well. It gives the room a nice smell in the morning. The product is as good as the seller wrote about it. I wish I had bought it sooner.

I just got this air purifier a few days ago so this review is not about long term use or efficacy. So far I love it. It looks and sounds cool and very modern and more importantly it works well with no smells, no fumes, etc. It’s easy to understand and move around with the handle on top. I initially set it on automatic and since the air seemed clean, the fan was staying on slow speed or going in sleep mode (very slow). Since this unit is used in a basement with concrete flooring and 2 cats around with litter, I manually set it on fan speed 3 and leave it there throughout the daytime. On rare occasions the air quality light will turn amber for a few minutes and then turn to blue again so I guess it’s doing what it’s supposed to do. Even on speed 3, I can hardly hear it. I can look and listen at the TV a few feet from the unit with no problems.
The only thing I didn’t like was the very lousy manual that comes with it. The writing is ridiculously small. They mention how to clean the screen filter (first one) but not how to clean the carbon one. I went on online to find out. It’s pretty simple. I don’t care or need the remote but it’s there for those who might. I get the feeling most people will lose it anyway.
The online reviews seem to agree that this is a great air purifier and so far I really like it. A review mentioned that it was made in Korea. Mine is not. It’s made in Thailand according to sticker on the box.

This review is long overdue – We had a big wild years ago, couldn’t open the windows everything smelled of smoke breathtaking actually…Decided to buy a air purifier after the fans didn’t really move the smoke Purchased a Winex 5300-2 it is a Workhorse. Took maybe 4 days for the disgusting smell of wildfire smoke to dissipate.
We also had two cats, had to wipe down the first filter (cloth?) at least once a week due to cat hair. The filter did not get rid of dust in our house but it does cut it down.
Couple years later I converted our garage into my art studio. I am an outdoor smoker, but it was winter and I was smoking in the studio. Well the studio was beginning to smell so I purchased the 5500-2, been using it ever since, I change out the filters every 3 months, (generic brand here on Amazon).
I believe 5500-2 is the best. It did not come with a remote as advertised but I didn’t really need it, both of these machines are workhorses, ( one star removed because the highest setting is very loud) Once or twice a week I use the plasmawave setting (not really sure about negative eons etc, so we mostly leave that setting off)
The positives are these two machines help keep pollen out of my house, decrease dust, and my garage/ Art Studio continues to smell fresh -if I keep a window open.
We now keep the Winex 5300 in the studio, approximately 300 ft, and the 5500 in the living room approximately 400+ ft. with a vaulted ceiling.
Looking at the ratings today maybe their quality is going down? But I can honestly say these two machines are amazing, definitely worth the money!

Was persuaded to purchase this purifier due to the recent wildfires in Los Angeles. The Air quality in Los Angeles has been mostly bad the past 3 months and my search for a Air Purifier brought me to this one.
This air purifier has a sleek and modern design, it’s very appealing. Looks great in the living room. Matches all of the other black furnishing in the room.
In terms of air filtration, it works extremely well. You can really tell the difference in air quality almost immediately. It is very quiet, especially on the night mode, which gets activated after the lights are dimmed. Sometimes I forget it’s even on.
It comes with a HEPA filter and a Carbon Pellet Filter.
The app feature is great. It allows me to monitor the outside air as well as the my indoor air and I can control it from anywhere I’d like as long as its connected to our my WiFi network.
Overall it’s a great value for the money, not to mention…Mine came with a 2-year factory warranty.

Muy buen excelente para alegias y asma mucho mejor que el Dyson o en Kenko a una fracción del precio con filtros EPA certificados

This thing is amazing for the price, the app works fine it even shows filter life for both the HEPA and Carbon filter. Fan speeds from low to high are super quiet. Turbo mode is loud but only used when necessary i usually leave mine on high.

A few weeks in, I’m happy with the purchase and considering getting a second one to accommodate a larger living area. I chose this unit after a lot of research because based on its CAD rating and filter life expectancy and cost, it provides one of the best values available and also because I wanted an air purifier with separate HEPA and carbon filters (many of the composite 2-in-1/3-in-1 provide a more compact filter altogether, with less thickness at each level and less surface for air to be filtered through). I live downtown and have pets, so both dust and smells can be an issue. It’s been running on turbo most days and sometimes overnight.
PROS:
arrived quickly and on time
easy/no setup out of the box
does what it’s supposed to – upon inspecting the filter after running for about 10 days, there was already a layer of dust/particles on the reusable filter that I was able to easily vacuum off
takes a minute, but will reduce lingering lysol smell (if I spray anything indoors, usually it takes hours for the smell to go away, but with this air purifier running, the intensity of the smell is immediately reduced and gone faster than it would otherwise)
very quiet, unless running on turbo
does ok job in a space much larger than recommended (around 480 ft^2 instead of the indicated 360 ft^2, but I’m on the market for a second unit because if you want really clean air/”great” performance in that kind of space, this alone will not do it)
takes little space
very easy to move around (minus power cord limitations)
CONS:
direction matters – I find myself rotating it around the room somewhat frequently, changing which way it’s facing will often trigger the sensor and turn the indicator from blue (clean) to red – it maybe worth trying one of those 360 degree units, however, their filters tend to be “all in one”, so it’d be a trade off
direction matters x2 – sometimes even if it’s in the immediate kitchen space but “facing” outward, it doesn’t start to capture and reduce smells until rotated 180 degrees to face exactly the area you want cleaned
the sensor is a VOC/odor sensor, meaning it doesn’t get triggered by amount of particles/dust – while I don’t think this is a con for everyone, it’s the main reason I’m running it on turbo most of the time – I can’t get a measure of dust in the air, and with pets in the house, there is always dust to go around
has Plasmawave feature and turns it on by default upon starting, which I don’t want to use due to ozone by-product concerns (but you can easily turn this off with one push of a button)
turbo fan level noise – while it’s not “loud” by any means (I doubt any other machine of this size and comparable power would be much quieter, I have a tiny one that can be louder than this one on max speed!) the noise is audible and can get annoying after a few hours, however, when running it on a lower fan speed (even on 3 and turbo would be 4), you can barely tell it’s working
NOTES:
no intrusive air blown in one direction, but makes the room cooler overall (same effect like running your hvac on “fan” instead of “AC”)
needs to run on turbo to really get the air moving around the room – as long as the motor doesn’t mind this, I don’t necessarily consider it a con

This is not my first Winix, but it’s quickly becoming my favorite one. The product is extremely sleek looking and fits perfectly within my living room aesthetic. It’s smaller than the 5500-2 I am now using in my bedroom, but much more powerful and cleans the room much faster at high fans speeds, while having a much lower noise level.
The air quality sensor helps to know it’s working well and always catches cooking odors or when I blow my candle out.
Love the ease of using the app, knowing when my filters will have to change and the quality of the filters.
Overall a incredible value versus all the other products in the market.
Recommend for anyone with allergies or just want some assistance dusty areas.
