Give the book a wash before first use, as you would with any new baby textile. It can go in the washing machine.
Lay your baby on their tummy on a firm, flat surface such as a play mat, never on a bed or sofa.
Open the book into its tent shape and place it a short distance in front of your baby's face, with the black-and-white side facing a newborn.
