Wash the removable 24-ounce vessel by hand or in the dishwasher before first use.
Fill the vessel with cooked food, seal the lid and place it in the caddy. Keep soups and saucy dishes upright while you travel.
Plug in the base and leave it on your desk or a nearby shelf. It can stay there permanently.
Place the caddy on the base and flip the switch. Allow about an hour for refrigerated food and two to three hours for frozen food.
Turn the unit off when you have eaten. Wash the vessel and wipe the base and caddy with a damp cloth.

The Crock-Pot Lunch Crock does one job and does it well: it warms a packed lunch evenly and quietly while you work, then holds it until you are ready to eat. The cordless caddy and desk base make the daily routine easy, and the 24-ounce vessel is big enough for a proper meal. It asks you to plan ahead, it cannot cook raw food, and the snug inner lid and lack of spare vessels are small but real annoyances.
If you can remember to switch it on an hour before lunch, it is one of the most useful things you can keep on a desk. If you need hot food in five minutes, stick with the microwave.
