How much food does it hold?
Geveniss gives it 3 liters in total across two containers: a 2L stainless steel main container and a 1L PP container for fruit or salad, which you can heat separately or together. In practice it suits one person best, though there is plenty of storage for a generous meal.
I didn't get a fork and spoon with mine. Is that normal?
It shouldn't be. Geveniss includes forks and spoons along with the insulated carry bag. The utensils have been known to go missing, though, so it can happen. Check your package contents on arrival and contact the seller if items are missing.
How do I properly wash and care for it?
Lift out the containers: Geveniss makes them removable and dishwasher safe, and cleanup is easy. Never wash the heating base with water, which Geveniss warns can cause a short circuit; wipe it down instead.
Can I use it in my truck as well as at home or the office?
Yes. Geveniss includes both a household cord and a car cord and rates it for 12V, 24V, 110V and 220V power, covering car, truck, office and home use without needing separate power adapters for each setting.
How long does it take to actually heat food?
Geveniss says to plug it in 20 to 40 minutes before mealtime, a real range worth planning your meal timing around rather than expecting instant heating, and a splash of water speeds the warming. Heating is a clear strength, and cold food can reach the right temperature in as little as 10 minutes.
Is it actually leak-proof for liquid or saucy foods?
Geveniss describes the lid as sealed and leak-proof. That said, it can leak if the top insert isn't in place, and stops once it is, so make sure all components are properly seated before transporting anything liquid.
