Plug the charging base in with the included power adapter and stand the opener in it. Give it a long first charge; one owner recommends a full day.
Slide the foil cutter into its slot in the back of the charging base so it is always to hand.
Place the foil cutter over the top of the bottle, squeeze and turn it to cut the foil, then lift the foil away.
Stand the bottle on a flat surface and set the opener straight down over the neck, holding the bottle steady with your other hand.
Press the button and keep light downward pressure on the bottle while the opener winds into the cork and draws it out.
Lift the opener off the bottle and press the button again to push the cork out of the unit, then return the opener to its stand.
