Wash the stainless steel pans and inner lid, and wipe the heating base with a damp cloth.
Fill one or both pans at home and snap on the plastic covers for carrying. Keep them in a fridge until lunch if you can.
Pour water into the heating well up to the marked level. Use a measuring cup; the small cup in the box holds less than a full cycle needs.
Remove the plastic covers, set the pans in the base, then close and latch the outer lid.
Plug into a 110V wall outlet 20 to 40 minutes before you want to eat. The unit switches off once the water has boiled away.
Steam vents from a corner of the lid, so open it away from your hand and face, and let the pans cool briefly before handling.
