Durability and Bluetooth connectivity are the sticking points: a meaningful share of units develop a lock or motor fault well before the mechanical warranty runs out, and pairing the app can be balkier than the physical install. 1. Remove the old deadbolt

   Take out the existing deadbolt hardware and keep the mounting screws in case they can be reused on the standard door prep.

2. Fit the U-Bolt body

   Install with a screwdriver into the existing holes - it is built as a DIY replacement for a standard US left- or right-handed door, with no drilling required.

3. Power up and set a code

   Insert the included AA batteries, then set an access code on the keypad or in the app. Add random extra digits if you want to mask which numbers are the real code.

4. Pair the app

   Download the ULTRALOQ app and connect over Bluetooth. From there you can share eKeys with family or guests and review the access log.

5. Set Auto Lock and Auto Unlock (optional)

   Turn on the timer-based Auto Lock and proximity-based Auto Unlock if you want them, or leave either off if you would rather trigger locking manually.
