8-Level Magnetic Resistance & Belt-Driven Flywheel
The V9 pairs a magnetic resistance mechanism with a belt drive and eight resistance levels. Magnetic resistance works by moving a set of magnets closer to or further from the flywheel rather than pressing a physical brake pad against it, which is inherently quieter and smoother than friction-based systems, and it shows in use: the bike is quiet enough that people on video calls never guess you are pedalling. A belt drive, rather than a chain, is another reason operating noise stays down, and it avoids the upkeep a chain would need. Eight resistance levels give a workable spread between a light, low-effort spin you can keep up while typing and a firmer pedal for a proper sweat while watching TV. FlexiSpot describes the resistance as adapting to your fitness level while keeping pedalling quiet. The lower levels can feel very smooth, and this is a bike for steady, moderate exercise across the day rather than hard interval training. The built-in LCD tracker shows time, speed, distance, calories burned, total distance and rotation speed, so you can see how much you have done by the end of a working day; note that its battery is not included.
