Another stinker of an item from Simple Human.Using only their soap, I’ve gone through two of these already and they’re all dead. Got warranty service for both and the replacements also died. One of them was “rusty” according to their customer service, and I was chastised for getting them wet. Yet the only time I got them wet was when cleaning out the soap in preparation for shipping, of course winding up flushing lots of soap down the drain. Are the suggesting keeping it by a sink is too “wet”? It’s a soap dispenser!The list of broken Simple Human stuff has now exceeded the list of still working stuff in my house. Do yourself a favor and skip this.

I bought this on 10/2/2019, it stopped working 11/10/2019, just outside the Amazon 30 day return window so I had to contact the manufacturer Simple Human direct. They told me to do the following: 1. Press and hold the power button down for 5 seconds.2. Wipe the sensor lens clean. We recommend using rubbing alcohol and a micro fiber cloth to do so.3. Press the power button for 1 second to turn the unit on.4. Completely cover the sensor window and tap the power button quickly 3 times. Note that this will make the pump run continuously until the sensor window is uncovered.So, that did NOT work. Then they need the serial number which is hidden inside the bottom. So you have to dump all the soap out and use a magnifying glass to actually see it. Then finally, they give me a Fed Ex label to return it. But they say please note it can take 72 hours for a technician to look at it and repair it. If they can’t, they will send you a new one. So, it is shipping GROUND back to them and then a 72 hour wait for a technician to look at it for a possible repair, I wonder how long it will be until I get this awful soap dispense back that I fear will just stop working again. I have no option to just send it back for a credit so I am stuck with it. I have had so much back and forth with customer service, I can’t believe how much time I have wasted already on this thing. Don’t add to cart and don’t buy now. You WILL regret it.

Bought it on 1 jan this year and only into its 2nd month it stopped functioning. The battery refuse to charge. Its sad because the product was good for dispensing purposes. Wrote an email to support @ Simplehuman in singapore and hope they would reply me soon.
