This kettle boils water extremely fast and has some great safety features. It automatically turns off when the water boils, and will sense if it is turned on without any water and will switch right back off. The only downside is that there is no sound to let you know when the water has boiled.

Great price for such a stylish appliance. It is white plastic but seems well made. Heat water super fast. Has 3-prong grounded plug for extra safety. The only down side is the plastic smell left in the boiled water.

I currently am in a transition to relocate. I moved out of a home to downsize and rent a room. I don’t have a kitchen – my situation is literally “Dorm Living.” I am able to make coffee, tea, soup, and other simple instant food/beverage preparations, substituting what a microwave would do, only heating up the water to cook the item. It boils rapidly. I tested it by pouring a cup of water only, the auto switch off safety mechanism DOES work!! The handle does not get hot. One thing I love, there is no steam to burn me. A teapot use to constantly bother me. This kettle is easy to pour w/out calculating to ensure safety. The safety is built in. There is a slight warmth to touch once boiled and turned off, the equivalence and no different than a coffee cup. I could easily imagine this item being convenient for long car trips, making baby bottles in advance (obviously feeding when cool), on a desk at work etc etc. Lastly, I no longer purchase items online unless there are reviews. I read as many as I could and compared with other similar items. My wording and description might be identical to others – so I apologize in advance. Lastly, yes, yes, yes, EASY TO CLEAN!!! No glass issues/stainless steel and most importantly – a filter! The plastic and white color is PERFECT!!!
