Eggssentials Poached Egg Maker

I wanted to try making my own poached eggs and wanted something that was fail proof. I received the product within 3 days of purchasing and was quite pleased. The pan arrived pre-assembled with all the parts included, which is not always guaranteed when buying online, so I was very happy about that. The pan was a good quality, heavy weight stainless steel, and the egg cups were deep enough to keep any of the yolk from spilling out and any of the water from flowing in when simmering. I’ve tried it a few times now and have not come across any issues. The eggs in each chamber always cook evenly and the clear lid makes it easy to keep an eye on what’s happening in the pan. I would definitely recommend purchasing.

I was very pleased with this. It has nice weight and is sturdy. The cups are deep enough for extra large eggs. The flat bottom works very good on our flat cook top. What I do like most, is that the eggs just slide/pour out when finished. No more tedious scrubbing of the egg cups after cooking. I use a little butter in the cups before I put the eggs in. As the water starts to boil a little, I turn the heat down to a slow boil, then place the cups in the pan and go about 4 1/2 minutes for a soft center. probably a minute more for a firm yolk.

I have used the egg poacher several times and love it. It came with very clear instructions that I followed and it cooked the eggs evenly and just the way I like them. The anti-stick is very good and the clean up was easy. I am impressed by the very good weight and quality of the pan. The knobs on each individual cup made it very easy to handle. I very highly recommend!

I have used this egg poacher a few times now and am still very impressed. It seems well built and is made of pretty hefty metal. Nothing about it feels cheap. It cooks eggs very well and can fit very large, home-raised eggs without any spillage. The plastic cup handles get pretty hot but can be handled (especially with a dish towel). The non-stick coating works well and is easy to clean.My only complaint would be that the pan is rather shallow and it is hard to get the right amount of water in the pan without having the water touch the egg cups. But I will get used to that.

This is the best poacher I’ve ever owned. I like that using the egg cups are optional (meaning I can cook 1 egg or 4 or any number in between). The pan is nice and really heats up quickly. Much faster than normal pans I use. Best part: eggs really do not stick! Use a little spray, cook, tilt the egg and it slips right out! The “cup holder knobs” can get warm. Per instructions, I use a napkin to lift them out. That’s all you need. Easy to clean too. Been using every day and I love it!!

I have purchased every 6 egg poacher that is available and by far this is the best one! The pan is high quality and never a problem getting the eggs out. I always lightly spray with Pam each time. I will definitely buy a second one for my other home or as a back up. You will not be disappointed with this purchase!

The metal insert that holds the egg cups is poorly made. When washing or handling the circles and outside edge are razor sharp and my husband got a very deep cut on his finger. The manufacturer should mill this area so it is not sharp. I can’t imagine they do not know about this flaw and if so shame on them. DO NOT BUY

Best egg poacher product out there, bar none! I’ve used ones that you can microwave your eggs, but the result is not always consistent and many times the egg exploded causing painful cleaning up experience. THIS product is what you want and need if you love eggs for a healthy breakfast or snacks! The time it takes to boil water to provide steam to cook the egg is almost as quick as using the microwave with the other product, but with dependable result every times. For my experience, I used a little butter or olive oil and wipe down the cups first before I add the egg, Take a little time to do this and it’s a guarantee the eggs will slide right off, of course you’ll have to get a small spoon or a dull butter knife and separate the egg from the cup on top. Just be careful not to place your hands over the hot steam and it’s highly advisable to remove the pan from the heat first. You’ll just have to experiment with the length of time on steaming the egg. The more runny then the less time steaming, or if you like it to be more solidify with the yolk, then cook a couple minutes longer. It is VERY important that you do not put too much water in the pan and half an inch or less is highly recommended. After all, you’re using steam to poach the egg so you don’t want to drown them in boiling water (because it will if you add too much water into the pan).

Delivery was sooner than I expected. Product was adequately packed ensuring no damage. The product is substantial as described. My first reaction (and hence the 4 stars) was that the cups were a lot smaller than I imagined. I washed the product prior to use as instructed and poached two large eggs which filled the cups. I doubt very much that extra large eggs would be OK as the large eggs filled the cups to the brim. Another reason for the 4* is that it was difficult to place the cups in the holder without spillage. I believe this could be avoided if the cups were placed in the holder prior to putting the holder in the pan and I will adopt this method next time. On the whole I am satisfied with the product and would recommend it with the caveat that it may not work with extra large eggs. The eggs, by the way, were wonderful. I cooked for 6 minutes and produced firm whites and soft yolks.UPDATE: Having used this for some time now (usually 4 eggs, three times a week), I can add the following. I have started to put the eggs in the cups (within the cup holder) and then picking up the whole unit with the large handle and placing it in the pan (Hope that makes sense). I also spray each cup with a vegetable/canola oil before breaking the eggs. (I forgot once and the eggs would not come out with out breaking). I have also amended the cooking time and method. I boil the water before placing the cup holder with the eggs into the pan. I then reduce the heat to #3 setting, which I assume is 30% of the High setting. This setting yields a gentle boil rather than a simmer. I then cook for 5 minutes for a runny yoke, 5.5 minutes for a semi-runny yoke and 6 minutes for a firm yoke. I really do like this product.

So when this first arrived I was super excited. It’s heavy and durable feeling. It cooked the eggs perfectly too. But when I went to wash the inside tray, it cut my finger so deep! The outer edges of the inner tray and the edges of the circles where the egg trays sit in are incredibly sharp! As sharp as a knife. They were not filed or finished on the edges. I’m considering returning because I’m afraid if one of my kids washes it, we will have a problem.

Well I got my egg poacher, and was really wondering if it would make me as happy as the lady in the picture using the product. Well I think my picture speaks for itself, it does!!!! great product, and delicious poached eggs

I thought very hard before purchasing this item as it seemed expensive for what is an egg poacher. Previously I have bought cheaper poachers. It arrived and I was honestly very impressed with the quality. Having used it now 3 or 4 times I cannot recommend highly enough, eggs cook quickly and perfectly. Would recommend to anyone.

The pan is quite heavy, so gives the feel of a quality product. The egg-cups are super non-stick (but still I advise to use a small slice of butter to grease them in order to prevent sticking) and so the eggs fall out perfectly every time. The egg-cup carrier (six hole plate) is well made of stainless steel and cleans very easily. No real need to put in the dishwasher – a quick wipe with a moist sponge does the trick. Very happy with my purchase – by no means the cheapest, but, as they say “you pays your money and you takes your choice”.Thoroughly recommended

So I know poached eggs in a pan of boiling water are supposedly so easy but mine just end up a swirling mass of mush with a floating yolk, and I pride myself on being a reasonable home cook. No ready meals in my home. So, after numerous attempts I gave up and went back to thinking about buying a poach pan like my mum used. I researched what was out there and finally decided upon this one. Promises of the cups being able to take large eggs with no overspill and also being non stick. A sturdy pan that felt quality. All boxes ticked as I purchased. Result was 100% satisfied. Perfect eggs every time. They slip out of the tins and taste gorgeous. You have to show some sense when picking up the pans as they are hot. They’ve been in boiling water so be sensible were all adults here, so don’t complain if they’re hot. Glad you like I spent a bit more for a very quality product. Worth the money and my expectation is that it will last a few years.
