I had a Nostalgia SCM502 Snow cone maker that worked amazing! Fast, efficient and great quality snow cones. I could make a full snow cone in maybe 30 seconds. But, after 5 years, it went bad this summer so I tried this Retro model because I loved the “look” of it. I regret the purchase now and am going to try to exchange for my former model. It takes 5 minutes to get maybe a tablespoon of shaved ice! The machine works awful and I can already tell it won’t last long.

I didn’t really have high hopes and was extremely surprised by this product. I figured it would just turn the ice cubes into tiny chips, but it legitimately turned them into snow. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the pictures were slightly misleading. They show 2 reusable snow cones and a ice scoop, you only get one. After receiving I better read the description and it does say one.
