This is astonishing. I’d never seen one before but bought it as a gift for a red wine lover for later in the year. Thought I’d better try it out to make sure it worked, so duly charged it and then tried it out. I was amazed! In seconds (and with hardly any sound at all), an opened bottle and the whole cork ejected from the opener. So easy to use, and the foil cutter is good too. Think I’ll have to buy one for myself now. Recommended.

We had a Waring Corkscrew puller that lasted probably about 6 years and we loved it. The last couple of years though left it a little weak to work so we had to encourage it by twisting it in against the bottle by hand and pulling the cork out of the bottle with a little brute strength. It lasted a long time and did its job, but it was time to move on. Saw these that were about a third the original price we paid for the Waring so took a chance and bought one. Unlike the Waring, it didn’t have a stand/charger but instead you must plug it into the adapter when you want to charge it. Even though the Waring had a stand, I think that it might have contributed to its downfall in the end as you are constantly charging the battery every time you use it and from what I am told, batteries like to be worn down almost completely before they want to be charged again. So, we decided that we will only charge the new one when it needs it or once a month, whichever comes first. I like the foil cutter in the head and the little LED light that comes on when charging or when opening up a bottle of wine. The unit itself is attractive, easy to use, and so far works great.

This worked great and held a really long charge when I purchased in February 2017. It held its initial charge for a few months–I was impressed. Then the battery died. This is when I stopped being impressed.I have been trying, unsuccessfully for a month to get it to charge again and hold a charge. It will not. I only use this product a few times a month, so it really should have held up longer. It is too late to return this so I want to warn others who are considering buying this to think twice. I am very disapointed.

Wine opener is easy to use. Have purchased two units, one for friend who saw mine. My top wine foil cover (silver ring) broke and does not attach permanently to unit. I would have expected item to not break. Did not mishandle. Not sure if it has a warranty.UPDATE: Contacted company vie email and they will be sending me out new unit. Unit that is broken then will be returned. Contacted me within 3 hours to advise of new shipment. Outstanding customer service, moved my previous eval from 2 to 5 stars. Company stands behind the product.

I have used a number of corkscrews in my life and this one is by far, and I mean by far, the best. I have noted that the corks in some of the wine we are buying in the supermarket are so tight that I could not pull them out without having one hand on the phone to dial 111 to deal with my impending heart attack. The Ozeri wine opener deals with these effortlessly. We do use it a lot and it is not stored in a drawer. It does keep its charge but we charge it about once a week. I think it is a really neat and excellent device.

I purchased this item 6 months ago, and after very limited use it is no longer functional. Appears to charge, but the corkscrew is frozen in place.

This is an outstanding electric wine opener. Ease of operation couldn’t be simpler: fit the clear plastic sleeve over the neck of the wine bottle, press down the toggle switch to extract the cork, then reverse the switch to remove the cork from the screw. Barring operator error, it’s flawless. This model uses a wall adapter to recharge, although other models are battery-operated, eliminating the recharging step and the accumulation of adapters and cords. The foil remover conveniently fits on top of the opener and, unlike many foil cutters, works very effectively to expose the cork for removal.Compared to relatively less expensive manual cork removal devices, an electric opener seems like a needless extravagance, but its reliability, efficiency, and smooth operation makes it worth the additional expense, and largely eliminates broken corks, needless feats of strength, and spilled wine bottles.

Lasted only 6 months before no longer holding a charge. This is the 2nd one I bought in 18 months for the same problem. I don’t keep it on the charger, only charge after several months. Love the way this works just not the battery life.

My only complaint is that the black tip on the end of the wine pourer/stopper came off the second or third time I used the pourer and I didn’t notice that it stayed in the bottle; thus, I threw it away accidentally when I discarded the empty bottle. The pourer without the black stopper tip is useless, but I can find no way to contact the company to request a new one. Just be careful when you remove the stopper. UPDATE: I found a number for customer service and they answered promptly. They took my information and today I received a new stopper/pourer in the mail. That’s great customer service!

Out of the box it looks a smart piece of kit and does the job exactly as it says. No effort required at all, cork is out in seconds, and the cutter, stopper and pourer is a fab bonus

It comes with a two pin plug, not a three pin plug; and it comes with instructions written in German, not English.

It is a nice gadget, but not overly useful.I bought it because it comes with a wire charger and does need to stand on a special charging station, so does not take any countertop space. I also like that the foil cutter is attached by a magnet to the top, so I will not lose it and it is always there where you need it.I took the opener out of the box and found out it was quite big, bigger than my automatic pepper mill. It takes quite some place in a drawer. I plugged it in and left o/n , as the instructions advice to charge min 8h. While charging it lit up in blue/purple, but even after more than 10h the light never turned off, so I have no clue whether it was fully charges or not, seems there is no indicator. When you use it, you must hold the bottle firmly. It is very very noisy, like a driller. The cork comes out relatively slowly and the opener feels very weak, like it’s about to die, even straight after charging. It came with a free bottle pourer and stopper, but it is frankly speaking garbage, the rubber seal around the pourer slipped off the fist use, when repositioned it fell into the bottle the second use. Without the seal the metal pourer is useless. In the end, i was curious how these automatic cork screws work and for 16$ it is not entirely disappointing, but you surely get what you pay for.

This product is fine but the customer service is lacking. We bought an extra charger and it hasn’t arrived after 5 or 6 months and customer service are not replying to my husbands emails. They’ve literally taken our money.
