I was so excited about the look, smaller size, and color of this tea kettle, but I had to send it back because it had so much plastic exposed to the boiling water. You can remove the screen, and knob at the top of the water level indicator, but there’s still a fixed piece on the water indicator and parts of the inner lid, which are plastic.

For the price, I feel I have a piece of luxury! The base is plastic, body is a light stainless steel, which is perfect. It holds a lot of water, so I wouldn’t want this to be made heavy. The handle makes for easy pouring and the spout never spills or drips! Boils fast and I love that it has the automatic shutoff!

I love my new tea kettle! I love that it looks like a vintage stove top but it’s an electric plug in, so awesome.I’ve only used it twice so far, but I tested it out with the maximum water level each time and it does heat up really fast. The body of the kettle does get hot so be careful but that’s not a big deal. The handle is durable, sturdy and easy to hold. The 360 degree pivot is awesome.Only minor complaint which is mostly my fault bc I didn’t think of it before hand was putting the water in, this is for the reason that of course the top lid of this kettle doesn’t pop up like modern ones. At times you may be slightly wiping of a bit of water that may drip down the side when you’re holding it under your tap to fill up bc the hole at the top is not very large. Other then that it’s not a deal breaker for me. I love it and would buy it again in another colour!
