I mostly love this. Love having poached eggs and hard boiled are so much easier too. For me, it is really the difference between having them and not having them. This unit is also a bit smaller than some. Good in most ways, although means a 2 egg poaching tray rather than 3.The one thing I have mixed feelings about is the plastic poaching tray. In general, I would probably feel more comfortable with metal. The plastic is super easy to clean though. It is a bit hard to twist the lid off at times. Could be a bit easier with bigger handles, I think.Nearly perfect though, especially for the price.

I’ve generally avoided single use kitchen appliances as counter-cluttering and not worth the money. However, this egg cooker is totally different! Making perfect eggs is super simple! This little unit takes up very little space but gives you the option of making perfectly cooked hard boiled and poached eggs. All you do is pour water into the heating tray and then place eggs on top of the egg holder. Put the lid on, press the button and wait for the timer to go off. Voila! Beautifully cooked eggs. Poaching eggs is no more difficult. Poached eggs on top of avocado toast is now my go-to breakfast. I don’t have to mess with a pot or little eggs strands all over the place from poaching directly in water. Cleaning the egg cooker is much easier. It makes six hard boiled eggs or two poached eggs.

My friend suggested I get an egg cooker and I laughed, an egg cooker? I’m old school baby, I use a saucepan, but she kept on going on about it so I decided to get one and man, I should have got one years ago, I used to get so many cracked or broken eggs, or over or under cooked eggs, this is so easy to use, for the boiled eggs you just put in the correct amount of water using the measuring cup provided, poke a hole in the eggs and press the start button, an alarm goes off when they are done and they peel much easier than the ones I cook in a saucepan. I had originally given it 5 stars, but after using it 4 times the metal part where you put the water looks like it’s starting to rust, I have to scrub it to get the brown rust stain off each time I use it. Other than that it still works well.

The bad news: The top of this little beauty goes on fairly easily once you figure out how to “screw” it on. But when the eggs are cooked and it’s HOT, it is NOT easy to unscrew that lid (it slides and hooks, like a front-open bra). The heat makes it want to “stick” or something. I’ve used it twice and worried that the eggs might overcook because it was taking me so long. The GOOD news is that both times I made eggs, they came out the way I expected, using the amount of water. The line for “medium” soft cooked was a bit runny on first try, so I added just a little more water than that and they came out perfectly this morning. I’m eager to try the poacher, but I hope this capable company comes up with a better design for closing the lid.

This is a handy egg cooker. I’ve used it to hard boil eggs and nothing else.It takes less than 15 minutes to boil 6 eggs. Use the measuring cup to put a little water in the pan, put the eggs in, put the lid on, and push the button. Soon enough it starts buzzing, and you’re done. The instructions say you’re supposed to wash off the eggs. If you’re using eggs straight from under-the-chicken, then yes, clean off the doo and feathers…otherwise don’t bother. Eventually you’ll get iron and whatever stains in the pan, which will clean right up with vinegar.I leave the eggs in until they cool down. This makes them cook a little longer, which I like.Highly Recommend!

So I been using this for a while now. I use it almost daily. It is pretty convenient, and easy to operate. However, there are some concerns.- The cooker does not turn off by itself when it is done. It makes a high pitch constant beep sound. So if you are hard of hearing to high pitch noises, don’t get this. My roommate is legally deaf so there is not visual queue that the cooking process is completed I have to let her know that it was going off.- The cooking process is not constant. I usually like my eggs soft boil. However, the soft boil setting for the cooker does not always cook it to soft boil. It is usually still raw. So I have to crank it to medium. This causes the egg to be sometimes hard boiled, or sometimes still kinda raw. So if you are not too picky about how your eggs are boiled then this is a good product. I usually don’t care how soupy or solid my eggs are, but soupy eggs are hard to eat on the move.

Love, love, love!!! Great tool and exceptional customer service! When I got my egg cooker last week, I was very disappointed because it only cooked for 2 min at a time. My initial review said as much and I only gave 1 star. With in a few hours I had been contacted directly from the company. They apologized for the defective unit and expedited a new one to me. I didn’t even have to go through the hassle of sending the bad one back! The new one works great and I am very, very happy with the unit AND the customer service!

I saw this egg cooker online one day and thought it was dumb. Then I threw out a bunch of eggs because I forgot about them in the fridge and my rule is if I don’t know when I bought the food, it definitely belongs in the trash. So I bought this to encourage me to eat more eggs. Because I love hard boiled eggs I just am bad at boiling them – I like my eggs hard and I would either over cook them or completely undercook them so they were runny. Now I have this egg cooker and I’m actually eating the eggs in the fridge because it’s so easy to just cook them now. You choose the number of eggs you want to cook (I usually do 2 or 3 at a time), fill the water cup with the desired amount of water, plug in the cooker and then press a button. When the eggs are done, the cooker sounds off a shrill alarm and your eggs are done. The downsides for the egg cooker are space and the alarm. I have a small kitchen so it was hard to make it fit in an a crowded cabinet when not in use but that’s clearly a personal problem. The alarm is an additional downside. It’s a very shrill alarm that would be perfect for signaling the end of the world. I guess it means you can’t ignore the alarm but it makes me jump a foot every time it sounds. But overall, I have nothing really bad to say about this egg cooker. Do you need it? No. Does it make life more convenient? Yes. Could you get the job done with just a pot? Yes. But I use it a few times a week and I like it and I don’t regret the purchase at all.

My dad hates new gadgets, so I was skeptical of whether he’d use this, but I thought I’d try it as a gift for him. He loves that he doesn’t have to worry about overboiling and overcooking his eggs. He lets it do it’s thing while he shaves and gets ready in the morning. But of a learning curve for how much water. Use a little more than what’s recommended. And use a fair bit more for extra large eggs. Also, in my family’s opinion, the complaints here about the loudness of the alarm are grossly overblown. It’s shrill, sure, but it’s no worse than my alarm clock or my oven timer.Other than that, great product. I hope it lasts!

Super easy to use, cleans well, and saves so much time from the stove top. I’ve tried making all the eggs and all turned out excellent. Make sure to follow the instructions for water, and add a little oil to the tray if you’re making the poached eggs – it’ll help them slide out with ease. I loved how all the eggs kept perfect shape. Great purchase!

I’ve now tried to make soft boiled eggs twice and both times I had to put them back in to cook a little longer because the whites were not cooked and come out as runny as the middle. I’m going to try the medium setting and hopefully by cooking them on that they will come out soft boiled. I think once I figure out the timing it will work great.
